The Guildhall, St Ives, was privileged to play host to the exchanging of vows between local couple Gill Pilgrim and David Prisk. The newlyweds, the first couple ever to marry at the Guildhall, were married in the ‘Mayors Parlour’, a wonderfully intimate and nostalgic room. Both bride and groom looked radiant as they stopped on the Guildhall steps for a photograph to mark their special day.
Clerical Assistant, Sarah Kevern, stated that it was “a delightful occasion. It was great for our first wedding to be between two local people. The ‘Mayors Parlour’ proved to be an ideal venue for such a lovely family event. We wish the happy couple all the very best”.
The Guildhall is steadily gaining acknowledgement as a new venue for those wishing to tie the knot. It has three small rooms available to hire, as well as a superb concert hall, which is able to hold up to 500 guests.
