Footpath maintenance

Footpath maintenance

Whilst Cornwall Council is responsible for the network of public footpaths across the parish, the town council carries out footpath maintenance work under a partnership arrangement.

In some locations one cut a year will be sufficient, in others there will be two or three cuts.

To report a footpath that needs to be trimmed, or to report a footpath maintenance issue, contact the town council.

For inspiration on local walks which make the most of the footpath network including the St Ives and Carbis Bay stretch of the South West Coast Path, visit the Visitor & Information Centre.
